In September 2024, The Photo Team were approached with just two weeks’ notice to cover the prestigious John Locke Institute International Meeting in London. With over 2,500 international students, families, and guests attending, our team of photographers and videographers delivered full day coverage, testimonial filming, and a highlight showreel, exceeding expectations and securing a rebooking for 2025.
The John Locke Institute needed complete coverage of their flagship annual event, with only two weeks’ notice. The brief included capturing multi room breakout sessions, educational talks, testimonial interviews with students, and a prestigious gala dinner in the evening featuring keynote speaker Liz Truss, former Prime Minister of the UK.
Our Approach
We deployed a five person media team to ensure simultaneous coverage of breakout sessions and plenary talks. Testimonial filming stations were set up during the day, while our videographers and photographers coordinated to capture both intimate student moments and large scale keynote addresses. Importantly, we worked closely with the organisers to balance their budget constraints against the scale of delivery required. By tailoring our resources and approach, we ensured maximum coverage and quality without exceeding the client’s limits. As the venue transitioned into gala mode, our team adapted lighting and coverage to capture the awards and formal evening programme, delivering a solution that was both impactful and cost conscious.
“The Photo Team pulled it off brilliantly under tight timelines; the highlight reel and images exceeded expectations.”
